We’re still waiting for the better weather
Well we’re still waiting, and although we’ve had some sunny days, the cold wind has kept us wrapped up! Having said that, it’s great to see so many of you down enjoying your spare time with us.

Dredging
As reported previously, the dredging which was due to take place in May, was delayed. Although a new date in July was discussed, it was agreed to delay until the Autumn for two reasons. It would have impacted on your navigational route in and out of Hafan and secondly, the risk of damage to vessels was considered too high.

A Notice to Mariners will be published in due course with the work likely to take three weeks overall. The areas to be dredged will include the marina basin, fuel quay and channel.

Webcam
We are delighted to announce that the live webcam feed has now been set up so you can easily check out the weather and state of the tide on our website home page.

RNLI Pwllheli Lifeboat returns
The Shannon Class All-weather Lifeboat ‘Smith Brothers 13-39' is coming home on June 30th. The volunteer crew are continuing their training on the boat and the team is striving to ensure the whole service is available as soon as possible. Thanks again to the volunteers for their time and commitment to this vital service which keeps people safe and saves lives at sea.

Pump out facility and fresh water
We are delighted to announce that the pump out facility, along with a fresh water tap, is once again available on the fuel quay. Apologies for the delay in sorting this out.

And finally ...
Following a recruitment process, we are pleased to announce we have appointed our new Harbourmaster and Deputy Manager. They will be starting early September, which will allow a period of time to handover from our current Harbourmaster, Wil Williams. Wil is retiring early next year after 30 plus years of service. He has overseen the development of the harbour and marina site into what it is today. Further details will be announced nearer the time.
