COVID-19 update for Hafan Pwllheli berth holders
In line with government guidelines Hafan Pwllheli remains closed to berth holders, visitors and contractors alike. There is no doubt the current situation is frustrating for everyone but it is the only sensible position to take until the spread of the coronavirus is firmly under control.
In the meantime 'patience' is the order of the day. At some point we will be back on the water enjoying some of the best sailing waters in the UK with the wonderful Snowdonian mountains as our backdrop. Hopefully the sun will be shining as well.
While you wait, we want you to know that the Hafan team is looking after your boat and carrying out daily inspections on the pontoons and the hard standing. We check mooring ropes, loose sails, covers and generally anything that does not look quite right.
If you want us to take a closer look at your vessel and check inside, we are happy to do so providing we hold a spare set of keys in the office. Please call or email us.
We are onsite from 9.00am to 5.00pm everyday, some of us are working in the office, others outside. As you would expect we are carefully following the advice on social distancing to ensure the work is carried out safely. In the evening our night patrol takes over to provide a security presence overnight. Hopefully this will reassure you that everything will be as you expect when the current restrictions are lifted.
We appreciate these are difficult and unprecedented times. If you have any concerns about your vessel, or have any specific requirements, please get in touch and we will do our very best to assist. In view of the COVID-19 imposed restrictions, consideration is being given to reviewing the annual berthing fees for the 2020/21 period. We will provide you with a further update as soon as details become available.
