Dredging latest
Work is now well underway on dredging the harbour entrance. Land-based machinery is being used to remove the build up of silt and maintain the channel’s design depth. The contractors are busy three hours either side of low water so please take extra care when navigating in and out of the harbour while the work is being carried out. It is scheduled for completion 29th May.

Introducing Gerwyn Owen
Gerwyn Owen, Hafan Pwllheli’s new Commercial Manager, will take up his new role on Monday 6th June. He takes over the day-to-day management of the marina from Wil Williams who is stepping back from frontline duties. To ensure the transition is as smooth as possible, Wil will continue in the temporary role of Deputy Manager, sharing his knowledge and experience as required. Gerwyn was previously CEO of Welsh Yachting.

Overflow car park
To ease congestion and demand for car park spaces over the busy summer months a temporary overflow car park has been set up at the far end of the hardstanding area near the Plas Heli building. With the marina now full, the extra capacity will be welcome news for all our annual berth holders.

Socket danger
There have been few incidents recently of overloaded and burnt out electricity sockets on the pontoons. One of main culprits is running a fan heater. Appliances like these have a high amp draw which can overheat the terminals and melt the socket. Please avoid using fan heaters and be mindful of the type of electrical appliances left switched on when leaving your boat.

Fuel quay gangway
The gangway that leads down to the fuel quay from the hard standing area is taped off and temporarily closed for repairs. Please do not attempt to use it until the structure has been made safe.
