Welcome aboard
The Hafan team is pleased to welcome two new members of staff who will be helping with the day-to-day running of the marina. Emma White (pictured left) is a passionate sailor who has sailed the Atlantic as crew. Siwan Roberts has served in the merchant navy, most recently as 3rd mate on an oil tanker. Both will work over the summer months on manning the reception, operating the hoist and carrying out regular checks on the pontoons and the marina site generally.

Return your trolley
Please can you return your trolley to the trolley park after use so it is ready for the next person to use. A number of trolleys have been abandoned on the pontoons and around the car park areas in recent weeks.

Car parking request
With the summer season now upon us the marina is getting busier by the day. Please park sensibly and avoid straddling two parking bays. This will ensure there is plenty of space for others to park. Your support is appreciated.

Tide gauges
The marina has a couple of simple Tide Gauges to help berth holders and visitors check there is enough water under their vessel's keel. The tide gauges measure the actual depth in the channel. So if it reads 2.0m on the Tide Gauge the actual depth in the channel will be 2.0m.

Navigational aids check
The Trinity House vessel MV Mair can be spotted on the marina pontoons this week. Normally based at Barry Docks, West Glamorgan, MV Mair provides inshore services for buoy and beacon maintenance. She is currently working along the coast checking navigational aids. Her overall length is 24 meters and width 6 meters.
